UPES attains acknowledgment in all corners of the world

UPES SPE Student Chapter 2011 received “2011 SPE Student Chapter Gold Standard Award” at SPE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition which was organized by  Society of Petroleum Engineers at Denver, Colorado, USA from 30th October to 2nd November 2011.
 
Ms. Sugandh Aggarwal, President 2010-11 of UPES SPE Student Chapter and now alumni of UPES represented the University. This is considered as one of the biggest events of oil and gas industry worldwide. This award ceremony was witnessed by all 80,000+ professionals and student members, internationally prestigious Universities of the oil and gas industry.

The Outstanding and Gold standard awards were presented to the winning Universities. It was indeed a proud moment for UPES when  the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies was presented with the 2011 SPE Student Chapter Gold Standard Award at the Conference.

Only 26 student chapters across more than 250 student chapters worldwide had the honor of receiving this award. The Guest of Honor of the event was Dr. Fikri Kuchuk, Schlumberger Fellow and Chief Reservoir Engineer of Schlumberger Testing Services.
